Hi Guys, its been way too long since my last blog, for a moment there even i got pre-occupied with other stuff and really neglected what i love doing -creative writing. Fear not my friends i will keep the posts coming from hereon on out...:) :) :)

I have been thinking of a topic to write on on since my blog , and for now  i think the title "My happy song" caught my attention.

Its easy to get cought up in society's notion of how we should live our lives and sometimes we find ourselves blindly to other people's definition of life, and get lost at the point where we figure it out and the blinders fall off.

My happy song is a metaphor for finally figuring out to live life not looking at what others are doing or listening to societial notions of how life should be lived. it is realising how fortunate we are that God loves us so much and matte how many times we mess up he is always willing to pick up dust us off, and we start again. it is a song we sing after going through the ringer, and coming out stronger. it is when we realise that every battle we go through, we lose something but gain something greater, with every tear we cry, we come out with a heart full of compassion for those that hurt.

"with tears in her eyes and a smile on her face", i've been thinking of writing a story with this line but the perfect link to it, for now is my happy song.keep an eye out for my next post. it might just be an actual happy song.

A life well lived

Like music, i think books have a way of transforming the world around us sometimes even changing the way we look at things, please enjoy this extract from Paulo Coelho's book 'The Aleph'...

''...I choose understanding and compassion. instead of rebellion, i choose the music from my violin...

'I will be capable of loving regardless of whether i am loved in return,
Of giving even when i have nothing ,
Of working happily even in the midst of difficulties,
Of holding out my hand even when utterly alone and abandoned,
Of drying my tears even while i weep,
Of believing even when no one believes in me...'

Islands that looks like a violin ... i couldn't play an instrument to save my life but this picture made me appreciate music even more... and it reminds me of the violinist in Celtic woman...

Songs we sing quietly

We live in a world where personal life choices, are sometimes made based on what is happening in society. but is this really how God wants it to be? i speak for the woman afraid to live because of all the hurt she sees happening to other women, a homeless child afraid to go back home, a lonely heart, or even a soul living a busy life.

when we sit quietly, alone for even just a moment, and take time to listen to the music around us, each one has a song we sing quietly, one that is filled with hope for a better tomorrow -a home, happiness, or just 5 minutes rest.

the day we choose to start dancing to the beat of our own songs, and harmonize in a choir with our own voices, the songs we sing quietly while alone, will help make a whole new genre of music to be appreciated by others, liberating them and us.
